Nike
Drake and Nike have just announced a new collaborative line called NOCTA. While it is common for Nike to do collaborations, it is not very common of Nike to release an entirely new line in collaboration with another party. Yet Drake’s star power is so strong, it seems Nike was willing to partner with Drizzy on NOCTA.
The name NOCTA is inspired by Drake’s nocturnal lifestyle and creative process. Drake said in regards to the new line with Nike:
“This moment is full circle for me.
I mean, growing up Nike was everything. It felt like every shoe I wanted, every athlete I liked, everything I owned was Nike. It didn’t mean anything unless it had a Swoosh.
I remember watching all these athletes repping Nike — each doing the unthinkable — and how inspiring it was. I always felt like there was an opportunity for Nike to embrace an entertainer the same way they had athletes.”
The new Drake x Nike NOCTA line will be available globally starting December 18, 2020. The new line will be its own entity and not be available on nike.com but its own NOCTA website.
