The race to be number one on Billboard is heating up between Tekashi 6ix9ine and Big Sean. Both artists dropped albums Friday, September 4, 2020 and as of today September 6th…Tekashi 6ix9ine appears to be in the lead.
At the time of writing, 6ix9ine’s TattleTales is expected to debut at #1 with 150,000 equivalent album sales. Big Sean’s long anticipated Detroit 2, is predicted to come in at #2 with 125,000 equivalent album sales. Projected album sales numbers are from HitsDailyDouble.
Many also expected Lil Durk to release an album on September 4th, but no album was released.
Tekashi69 recently took to Instagram to claim foul play was taking place between streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music by not showcasing his new album on the ‘New Releases’ section of the home page.
If 6ix9ine does debut at #1, that means Tekashi will have outsold Nas and Big Sean in the same year.
Nonetheless, the race is not yet over between Tekashi 6ix9ine and Big Sean. Who do you think will debut at #1? TattleTales or Detroit 2?
