The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just announced its 15 nominees for the 2024 class. Two-thirds of them are up for election for the first time. The nominees cover a wide range of music styles, from pop stars like Mariah Carey and Cher to classic rockers like Ozzy Osbourne and Peter Frampton, and even the late singer-songwriter Sinead O’Connor.
Some artists are getting their first-time nominations, including Foreigner, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, and Sade.
Others are returning to the ballot after being nominated before: Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. and Rakim, Jane’s Addiction, and A Tribe Called Quest.
